Allow me to start by introducing myself. My name is Steven Szymczak and this is my second year as a JET. Prior to joining the JET Programme I bummed around in Osaka for a while, so I've actually lived in Japan for a little over two years. My role at the WIV is mostly limited to technical stuff, since I'm not a very good writer; so, if you have any questions/problems related to the Web site, or these forums, I'm your man

My name is Sarah, as you can see from my uninventive username.
I am also a 2nd year JET and just recently became involved in WIV.
I'd like to make an area for local events and festivals. This would be for people to explain about upcoming events in their area and encourage readers to attend or just visit a nice little place near you.
How would we go about that, Steven?

How about putting things like that in the "Local Info" forums that already exist?

I have had a request that we post that information somewhere that people from other areas can see it, too, so they will know when there are interesting things happening in other towns.

Everyone should be able to see posts in the local forums, just make sure events are posted in the proper subforum (Hiroshima City, Mihara, etc).
